About the ScholarshipBeta Theta Pi believes that college men should be recognized for their success and desire to achieve. At the Johns Hopkins chapter, we pride ourselves in striving for individual leadership roles on-campus and in the community. We have been recognized for our community service, have played on JHU varsity sports teams, published in scientific journals, and formed life-long friendships. For Many Men the Beta experience has been a catalyst for success, stemming from the various award winning leadership development programs available to them. As a testament to our dedication to the Johns Hopkins community, Beta wishes to recognize the successes of the incoming class of 2014. We are offering three scholarships totaling $500 (1-$250 AND 2-$125), designated by the Beta Theta Pi Foundation for non-Greek male students at Johns Hopkins University. We seek to recognize men who demonstrate devotion to academic achievement and a commitment to making both the university and community better places to live. Most importantly, we hope to identify men who desire to develop skills that will help them become successful not only in college, but in their professional and personal lives as well.ApplyingIf you would like to apply for the scholarship, even if you are not interested in Greek Life at Hopkins, we encourage you to complete the application and submit it by September 30th, 2010. The application maybe submitted in hard copy format or online if you prefer to complete it electronically. Selected applicants will be contacted for follow up interviews. Of course, we highly encourage all applicants to browse Beta’s website at www.betathetapi.org.
